Back-end web developer

Sep 2022 – present

  • Worked across the group's two e-commerce platforms (Symfony 5 and 7), from the back-end to the front-end, to evolve customer journeys and business processes.
  • Gathered the business needs, proposed the solutions and implemented them.
  • Migrated the legacy search engine to Meilisearch: a clear gain in result relevance and in speed, from 3 seconds down to 300 milliseconds.
  • Optimised SQL queries and introduced batch processing to handle substantial data volumes.
  • Designed and built C# / .NET desktop applications on Windows Server to automate data exchange between the e-commerce platform and the ERP.
  • Contributed to building the group's second e-commerce site: front-end, REST API exchanges (product catalogue, stock levels and prices) and acceptance testing.
  • Wrote Dockerfiles and moved some projects to Docker, to simplify running them locally.
